Privacy Policy
SnapStories is a pass-through tool. It has no accounts, no logins and no user profiles, so most of what a privacy policy usually covers does not exist here. This page describes exactly what happens to data when you use it.
What we do not collect
No account, no email address, no password, no phone number. We never ask for your Snapchat credentials and there is nowhere on this site to enter them. If a page ever asks you for them, it is not us.
Media is never stored
When you download an item, the file is streamed through our edge server to your device and is not written to any disk or bucket we control. Nothing is queued, cached or retained. This is an architectural decision, not a setting: there is no storage attached to the service that could hold it.
Your IP address
A download link is valid for five minutes and only for the device that requested it. To do that we store a keyed hash of your IP address inside the signed link itself. The hash cannot be reversed into an address, we do not keep a copy of it, and it disappears when the link expires.
What is cached, and for how long
The public profile information a username resolves to — display name, item count, thumbnail addresses — is cached at the edge for five minutes so a repeated search does not hit Snapchat again. It contains no information about you. Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider, keeps its own short-lived request logs as part of operating the network.
Cookies
One cookie records the language you chose so you are not redirected again on your next visit. There is no advertising or analytics cookie today. If that changes, it will be behind a consent prompt and this page will say so before it happens.
Your rights
Because we hold no account and no profile, there is normally nothing to export or erase. If you believe content of yours was made available through this tool, use the takedown process — it blocks the account at the edge immediately, which is faster and more complete than a data request.
